Restarting frozen iPad Pro with broken Power Button

Help !

My iPad Pro has got stuck in 'restore in progress'. I can't restart it the normal way because the sleep/wake button is broken (it hasn't worked for a long time'. The power is on 100% so it won't turn off naturally for a long time. Because it was restoring when it froze, it also isn't now recognised in the finder in my MacBook Pro when I connect with a USB-c cable.

Any ideas how to force a restart from a frozen state with no working power button? Or any other suggestions?

It is a common misconception that an iPad (or iPhone) can remain fully functional with damaged or defective physical buttons.

Whilst Accessibility features (such as assistive touch) can be used to augment the User Interface, these features cannot be used as a substitute for physical button sequences that must be used to trigger system recovery actions. Sooner or later, as now, you will encounter a situation from which you cannot recover.

You might be best advised to visit the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store or Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP) - where the technicians will be able to assess your iPad and discuss your available options:
