No Input Source selected
Need to know how to ensure input source is connected but can't seem to get it working

Hello TindaV,
To select an input source you'll want to use these steps:
In GarageBand on Mac, select the audio track.
Click the Smart Controls buttonto open the Smart Controls pane.
In the Recording Settings area, choose the input source you want to use.
