Will the iPhone 11 sold by Tracfone receive the same security updates in the same timely manner as any other carrier provided iPhone 11? Unfortunately, this is not the case with Tracfone Android phones, so I'm wanting to switch to an iPhone if iPhone updates are not carrier dependent.

Security updates are part of iOS (operating system) updates. The iPhone 11, being reasonably current (still sold new but released by Apple nearly three years ago), does run the current iOS version (15.6).

You mentioned “carrier provided iPhone 11”. Another approach is to purchase the iPhone 11 from Apple, and choose TracFone as your carrier if you wish to do that.
