high cpu usage on iphone 13 pro max

I just got my new phone about a month ago and have been using it just for social media and not many games. When I went on vacation to Europe after just the first day my phone started to get extremely hot. It seemed that the region of the phone that had been getting hot was where the CPU was so I downloaded a CPU monitor app to track the CPU usage. It seemed to stay at around 20-30% and sometimes went to 60%. I tried deleting apps and restarting, turning off Bluetooth, and going into airplane mode. Nothing worked made it go down is there anything I'm missing?

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Community nathandr24,

It's not unexpected for an iPhone to generate warmth. If it get's warmer than the temperatures it's designed to operate it, you may see the device or it's display power off until cool, or it may display a message saying it needs time to cool.

You can find additional information on the subject, here: If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch gets too hot or too cold

If your iPhone isn't taking those actions mentioned above to moderate it's temperature, no change to the device or how it's used would be necceary, you can continue using it as you normally would.

Cheers!

the issue is not the heat its that something is using my iPhones power while it's not in use draining my battery even though I'm not using it. This also causes my phone to not run as powerful because when I try to download an app or run a high-intensity game it cants run to its full potential because something that I cant monitor or stop is running in the background.
