I went to the apple store yesterday and got assistance with backing up my phone to iCloud and then my phone was reset. I am still not seeing some of me text messages and conversations that were there before.

Depending on the size of the backup, it could still be getting back on your iPhone. Are you certain that your messages were backed up with iCloud? Just to double-check:

Go to Settings -> click on your name at the top -> iCloud

Scroll down the list of apps that are being backed up with iCloud and make sure "Messages" is turned on (the switch will be green).

Because you said that some of your messages are not showing up, it may still be uploading. If you're not on wifi, that might help if you can get on wifi. I'd also plug the phone into a charger too.
