Password?

Ever since the last update for my iPhone 12 Pro Max there is this box that pops up asking for Apple ID verification and to enter my password? Do I enter my password to get rid of it ? Because when I did that on my phone it then informed me that all my apps were a part of some data breach and that I needed to change my passwords on all of them? Did I do the right thing or not ? This has happened once before after an update and now it's popping up on my iPad as well but I just keep hitting not now
