iPhone photo not editable

I can’t edit my photos. I have not synced the photos to any computer or other device. They are only on my iPhone. Why can’t I edit them. I want to keep them on my phone but edited.

Hi Avrumele,

Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities! What happens when you attempt to edit your pictures in the Photos app? Are you tapping "Edit" located at the top right after selecting the photo you would like to edit? You should be able to adjust light and color, apply filters, and also crop/straighten your photos. Check out more info here: Take and edit photos on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support

If you are unable to do this, you'll want to troubleshoot the device. You can start by closing the Photos app completely by double-clicking the Home button to show the app previews. Swipe left or right to locate the Photos app and swipe up on the preview to close the app.

You should also restart your iPhone since restarting can help resolve multiple issues you may face with your device. To restart, press and hold either volume button and the side button until the power off slider appears. Drag the slider and wait about 30 seconds. Press and hold the side button until the Apple logo appears to power it back on. Once back on, test to see if this continues.

Hope that helps!
