Applecare coverage on iPhone.
If applecare for my iPhone 13 pro max is paid in full, is the phone still covered if I have to sell it? The phone is paid in full from Apple. Just on hard times and need to sell it.

You may be able to cancel the AppleCare plan for a partial refund. See: Cancel or change the payment method for your AppleCare plan - Apple Support
