Watch OS 8.7 not updating

As the title suggests, my S7 watch isn’t updating to OS 8.7. Phone (12) is updated, 50% plus battery etc etc - all the basics I’ve done but still no dice. See screen shot - it doesn’t shift from this for ages then just says it’s failed. Same when tried direct from the watch. Anyone else experiencing this?

watch software update i’m unable to download the new software update for my apple watch series 3 . the soft ware is getting downloaded till half of its way and suddenly starting from zero again ! it is very time taking and in the mean while i’m unable go use the watch.

Watch OS9 update After updating my iPhone 13 Pro Max to iOS16 I can't get my Apple Watch series 7 to update to Watch OS9. TI've been trying to update through the Watch app on the iPhone and it seems stuck in "Checking for Update..." endlessly. Anyone else having this issue? Does anyone have any suggestions?
