SF symbols - Commercial use

Hello everyone,

I've seen similar question about this in the forum but it wasn't clear if I could use SF symbols for commercial games.

I'm gonna develop a game that is going to be published in the App Store. However in this design I'm going to use SF symbols from Apple as game icons.

Is this allowed? Am I free to use them for commercial use? (upload game in the Appstore?) Or is there a license that I would need?

Sorry to trouble the community if this has been already answered. Else thanks in advance for reading and for your time.

You can use SF Symbols in your app/game, but you cannot use them in the app icon.

Take a look at the Bakery icon creating app on the Mac App Store. It lets you use SF Symbols for placeholder icons, but the app tells you when you launch it that the icons shouldn't be used for App Store submissions due to the license on SF Symbols and emoji.
