How to sort text messages so new, unread TEXT messages appear first

How do I default an iphone 13 so new, unread TEXT messages appear first? (top of list) It says I have 164 new texts. To scroll through 100's of old conversations trying to find a new text with a blue dot will take days. Also, people are getting ****** because they sent me a text and I have no idea, until I scroll and scroll and scroll so more which is time consuming and FRUSTRATING. This process is archaic, I know there has to be a better way... I can't work like this. Please help!
