Impossible ot move files from Iphone

Have tried all of following:

WIndows 10:

Windows copy

Free file sync

check latest version of USB cobntroller driver for Iphone on PC

Linux (Bodhi)

Copying files using various file managers with require dlibs for iphone visibility

Mac OS

Cannot make iphone visible to apps such as Free File Sync

Copied using Image Capture app

With all of the above the same thing happens - after a short period of copying (e.g. 70 files) an error occurs and copying ceases. Once this happens, nothing will copy again even if software is restarted. Only way of having another go at approx 70 files is to switch phone and computer off and on.

This is such a basic task for any storage device - it clearly should work (the functionality is there) but it is either bugged or purposefully stopped to promote the icloud)
