Spotify on Apple Watch

I have an apple watch with cellular data. I recently got the Spotify app and paying for premium. Should I be able to listen to spotify without having my phone nearby? I can do this with Pandora and choose to play from my iphone or watch. Spotify on my watch only shows my phone as a device.

Data is turned on for Spotify.

Spotify && Apple Watch Is there any way to request a feature for Spotify to play on the apple watch without the iphone being near it??? I literally bought the watch with cell service so that I could run without having to carry my phone. I'm pretty disappointed that I can't run without my phone without downloading an external app to help me play music from the watch itself. I also have no desire to switch from Spotify to Apple Music. *crying*
