Spotify on Apple Watch

I have an apple watch with cellular data. I recently got the Spotify app and paying for premium. Should I be able to listen to spotify without having my phone nearby? I can do this with Pandora and choose to play from my iphone or watch. Spotify on my watch only shows my phone as a device.

Data is turned on for Spotify.
