Voicemail not working after deleting Robokiller

This question has been asked before but I never saw a fix.

After canceling Robokiller and deleteing the app, I don't receive voicemails on my iphone.

Callers get a generic greeting and can leave a message but that message doesn't come to me.

I setup Robokiller so long ago, I don't remember the process, but I believe I had to route calls to them to screen and record voicemails. Now that I've canceled the service, calls come through to the iphone, but voicemails do not.

iPhone 12, iOS 14

Check to make sure you followed the steps identified here, https://support.robokiller.com/hc/en-us/articles/360027065591-How-can-I-disable-RoboKiller-on-my-iPhone-or-Android-device- I've read from other people that it can be difficult to remove it correctly.

You can also check the information here. I copied this from a post back in February 2022.

I want to share this with the Community because I've been trying to fix this since 10/15/2021.  On that day, my iPhone's voicemail stopped coming to the visual voicemail but rather from a text message from phone number 585-326-3403. I reached out to my carrier. (AT&T) 4 times. They had no clue what to do and reset my voicemail but no improvement. I know that the carrier is in charge of voicemail and not Apple so I just gave up for a while because it was so frustrating. I purchased a new phone thinking it was a glitch or hack of my phone. I set up the new phone manually for fear that my phone might transfer whatever caused the problem but still the same problem on the new phone. I called Apple and the person was fantastic and she had heard of it before although my carrier was completely lost as to what I was saying. The Apple rep even helped me talk to AT&T for the 4th time via 3 way call I made. I tried everything the Apple rep suggested but nothing worked.  I was about to ask for a phone number change after having this number for 18+ years...BUT I figured it out after doing a web search of the phone number sending me the audio clips in text form.  I finally found the following articles on a "tech" site here: https://arstechnica.com/civis/viewtopic.php?t=1404705 and followed through on the "robokiller" one and I don't even remember downloading that app but I guess I must have years ago? They say that there is a glitch in their app that can cause voicemail to be forwarded to one of their sites.  I followed the instructions you can read here: https://support.robokiller.com/hc/en-us/articles/360027065591-How-can-I-disable-RoboKiller-on-my-iPhone-or-Android-device- and my voicemail is finally coming in to my iPhone's visual voicemail like it is supposed to. I wanted to share with you all so that maybe you won't have to go through what I've gone through for 4 months....even buying a new phone. lol. This 63 year old grandmother is quite proud to have persevered and fixed it and you can too!!!

Replying to myself so others who are searching will have an answer. According to Robokiller's support page, you need to dial a deactivation code to disable calls from going to their voicemail. This link has a list of deactivation code for each carrier. I believe this has taken care of the problem.
