storage on phone

i see lot of storage occupied by apps when i check on icloud storage and even if i clear them, still says no storage available..how do i address this issue

iCloud storage and device storage are two different things. What's the difference between device storage and iCloud storage? - Apple Support See if this helps you understand that device storage is fixed and the only way to get more storage is either delete content or buy a device with more storage. Deleting something on iCloud is not going to increase device storage and vice versa.
