How can I get rid of the Settings icon notification. I Would like to get rid of the red dot with #1 in it. There is a update for 15.6 that I do not want to take with my iphone8. I have automatic updates off.

The only way to get rid of the notification is to install the update. If you do not wish to update, you will just have to see the badge.
