How to restore a backup on MacBook?

I recently wanted to downgrade IOS 16 to IOS 15 because my iPhone XR started having bugs. So I connected to iTunes made a backup on my MacBook Pro and then restored my Device. I then wanted to restore the backup that was saved on my MacBook but couldn't. It says "Last Device Backup: Never" but under "manage Backups" the exact same Backup is shown. So how do I restore that backup.

PS: I tried updating the phone and also signing in to my icloud without any glimpse of success. There was still no backup to restore.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 12.2

You won’t be able to use that backup because it’s on a newer iOS than ID installed on the iPhone. When installing abets you are informed to make and archive a current backup in case you want to stop using Beta before its public.
