Months Lost Apple Watch Showed Location at Home
Hi everyone,
A few months ago in May, my mom lost her Apple watch in Cabo. She claims it fell off of her wrist while she was out, and she didn't notice until later that evening. I checked her Find My account tonight for another reason, and noticed that on July 29th at 11:55pm, her watch's location registered at her house (in the US). She has never had a different Apple Watch (never replaced hers), so it has to be the same watch she lost. I tried to play a sound and it said "Playing" but we didn't hear anything. She swears that she lost it and didn't bring it home with her, but I'm not so sure.
Is Find My ever wrong? Could the location somehow have pinged by mistake? Could it really still be back in Mexico, long gone? Or should we tear apart her house looking for it when she swears she lost it?
Thanks!
