Blocked mail filtering is not working

Mail will show that an individual sender is on my Blocked list, and I have checked that in Preferences I have "Enable blocked mail filtering" checked, and "Move it to the Trash" selected; but it isn't moving anything.

Also, where does the Mail program fall in choosing a device and topic? I've checked under EVERY device and topic option, and Mail isn't an option.

Blocked mail going to junk, not the trash My mail preferences are set to send blocked emails directly to the trash. However, all of my blocked senders are going to my junk mail instead, which requires that I go in and delete each of them every day. Is this the intention? It seems to me that if I have marked the sender as blocked, then the setting should send them to the trash, not my junk mail. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, does anyone have a solution?

cannot block some email senders Hi I am getting a lot of spam, and I got to the habit of blocking the senders. It works pretty well, and as soon as I click 'Block contact', a small red circle appears, and the email is titled as blocked. Also, if I click on the sender again, the option will now say 'unblock contact'. however, some senders, I just cannot block. I click on 'block contact', and it will not change to 'unblock'. It will not title the email as blocked. And it will not bin the mail. I tried manually adding the email address to thew 'blocked' list, and it gets there, but still wont get blocked. Its like its on some sort of whitelist.
