What are you saying you can succefully boot or no (?) after your install or attempted install of 12.5—please clarify.

you can always try again—

I might run the First Aid if your issue continues...

Boot into Internet Recovery (Option Command R) and from the dropdown menu: Utilities>  Disk Utility> run the First Aid on your Macintosh HD (and the "Macintosh HD-Data" volume as well if Catalina/Big Sur/Monterey) If errors are found and repaired, run again until no errors reported.

See if you can run the diagnostic for a hardware issue— the user Diagnostic...not as definitive as Apple's own AST2 (Apple Service Toolkit) back bench diagnostic, but may kick out an error code.

Removed little snitch and I'm back with this error report—

panic(cpu 8 caller 0xffffff8016f1cd76): initproc failed to start -- exit reason namespace 6 subcode 0x1 description: Library not loaded: '/usr/lib/libSystem.B.dylib'

If third party apps were launched it is not virgin clean install of macOS....

If a Safeboot does not launch successfully to disable all third party, I would recommend:

Escalate up the chain of command beyond the Tier One support , and get Apple engineers involved to sort your issue.
