Greetings cathie290, and thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

To confirm, are you using Safari to view your email or are you using the Mail app? What do you mean by Safari account? Any specific error message?

The more details the better the Community can assist. Please, do not provide any personal information.

If using the mail app, these two articles have some great steps to take if you can't send/receive emails:

If you can’t send emails in Mail on Mac

If you can’t send or receive email on your Mac - Apple Support

Make sure you don't have any blocked senders: Block or unblock senders in Mail on Mac - Apple Support

"Unblock senders

  1. In the Mail app  on your Mac, select a message from the sender you want to unblock.
  2. Move the pointer next to their name in the message header, click the arrow, then choose Unblock Contact.

You can also remove senders directly from the list of blocked senders. Choose Mail > Preferences, click Junk Mail, then click Blocked."

You may need to reach out to your Email Service Provider for additional help.

If you're using Safari to view your email through the provider, try some of these steps that may help resolve some common issues with Safari:

If Safari on Mac doesn't open a webpage or isn’t working as expected - Apple Support

Take care.
