G-DRIVE USB-C EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE

What was the format of the drive previously? If Mac OS Extended (journaled) then going to APFS would have improved TM performance.

just updated my 2021 MacBook Pro to 12.5 and tried to do back up using my G-Drive, it would back up until 10.4% then it would stop and very slowly and copy a few KB at a time nothing like it should work , I got in touch with both WD and Apple and in the end I had to reformat the G-Drive and it worked fine after.

Just wondering if anyone else has had this type trouble, I read a previous post saying not to buy G-Drive that was posted last Dec, but when I first got the G-Drive in Jan 2022 I had no problem with doing back up's until the last OS update!
