Liquid error

my iphone 13 is still under warranty has been used for a little under 7 months. Got a liquid detection error and the phone stopped charging. There appears to be a little rust in the charging port area. Apple is now asking for 47000inr to replace the device. However the phone has been nowhere near water in a cover the entire time and the lci indicator is also completely white.the device had not a scratch or no other problem. What could be the reason?
