store tab

the store tab is missing from the apple tv app on my computer

Apple TV+ in the browser offers just Apple TV+ content (Apple Originals), not iTunes Store content. Watch or order iTunes Store content in the iTunes application on macOS 10.14 or earlier.

The Store tab is available in the Apple TV app on macOS 10.15 or later (that replaced the video section of the iTunes application).

So it depends on your version macOS.
