magic mouse 2 haywire

Magic Mouse 2 seems to be having bigger issues then just lag.

My pointer stays only on the right side and jumps up and down. I am not able to get it to the left side, when I move in that direction, it jumps back to the upper right and then starts moving up and down and if something is on my desk top it opens it.

Last we I had and issue with my keyboard that was solved.

please help it you can.

TIA

Try cleaning the optical sensor on the bottom of your mouse.

Test a different mouse. Most any generic or pc brand of USB mouse will work with your iMac.

The following will require any USB keyboard and mouse. If you don’t have them, borrow or buy them, they are inexpensive!

1.     Connect the USB keyboard and mouse to the computer.

2.     Open System Preferences – Bluetooth

3.     Un-pair the wireless keyboard and mouse.

4.     Turn off Bluetooth

5.     Restart the computer in Safe Mode per the directions in How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support

6.     Restart the computer normally.

7.     Open System Preferences – Bluetooth

8.     Turn on Bluetooth

9.     Re-Pair the wireless keyboard and mouse.

10.  Unplug the USB keyboard and mouse and begin testing the wireless devices again.
