Can text someone but can’t call them

I have a friend — a fellow iPhone user — who receives my texts and can respond to them, but when I call him I always get a “your call cannot be completed as dialed” recording. What could be the problem?

Why can't I call or text anyone on my iPhone? Because I can’t call or text people and I need help because it was when I try to text somebody it says something and when I call somebody it says something so I really want to text and call people. Please help me. [Re-Titled by Moderator]

iPhone Samsung Call Issues I have an iPhone 14 Pro and my husband has a Samsung Z Fold 5 both through Verizon. Sometimes he will try to call me and it goes straight to voicemail and I get no indication that he has called me. This does not happen every time, but sometimes. And every once in a while, I will call him and it won’t even ring. Also, his texts sometimes take a while to come through to my phone (rarely, but sometimes). Also, my mom has a Samsung Galaxy and has an issue calling me sometimes as well. Has anyone else experienced this?
