Compatibility of iPhone and Chromebook

Compatibility of iPhone and Chromebook. What is Chromebook considered, what category is it a Mac?? No one told me when I bought my Chromebook that it was not compatible with my iPhone 🤯. It’s drives me crazy having to add attachments all the time. Is there an easy fix? 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m not finding any. I think I’ll sell the chrome book. 😬Thank you
