Ventura and Office 2011

I have a Macbook Air (2018) running Mojave. I’ve avoided updating OS because I prefer Microsoft Office 2011 to 365 (I have both). But my iPhone now has a message that requires upgrade to Ventura to support connecting with the Mac. Are there any workarounds that would help me continue using Office 2011 once I upgrade to Ventura?

IOS 17 update doesn't play well with my Mac Catalina After my iPhone automatically updated to IOS 17, the messaging app on my Mac stopped working (not iMessage...works fine, but messages to Android, etc) . After some sleuthing, I discovered that Catalina wasn't compatible with IOS 17. The notice given was to update the Mac to a newer OS. Here's the problem: my Mac is a late 2013. Catalina is the most recent OS the Mac can run. So it seems I have two choices: buy a new Mac, or poke out text messages on my iPhone. I realize my Mac is 10 years old, but it's still functioning flawlessly. I have installed an SSD that made a world of difference with the Mac. I am totally happy with it. Sadly, Apple seems to be pushing hardware sales (taking a page from Microsoft with their consent upgrades). Is there a workaround that will give me messaging again, short of buying a new Mac?

Is iOS 16 compatible with MacOS Monterey? I can't upgrade to Ventura on my Macbook Pro. Is iOS 16 compatible with MacOS Monterey? For example, will things like Reminders, Notes and Podcast syncing work? I remember that there were some versions of iOS that needed the latest MacOs for syncing to work. And I think there were some versions of iOS that upgraded iCloud drive preventing it from working on older MacOS. Is this the case with iOS 16?

Is Update Requirement Bogus? Running Monterey 12.7.1 on my MacBook Pro and now I'm getting messages saying that I cannot connect to my iPad nor my IPhone unless I update my OS. In fact, I CAN connect to both of these devices, so why am I being pressured to update? Shouldn't it be my choice when I want to update OS or IOS software?

If you're referring to the message described in this article, it's a driver patch, not an OS upgrade, and won't affect application compatibility. Otherwise, not without using an emulator or switching to a product such as LibreOffice.
