Stolen MacBook & Apple Care

Hi. My MacBook was stolen today in Spain, I’ve tried “Find my” etc. Although I only have AppleCare for my iPhone I was wondering if I can get a replacement device for my MacBook if I purchase AppleCare today. I’ve read on apple.com that it’s possible to get a replacement IPhone but what about MacBooks?

AppleCare+ doesn't cover loss or theft of computers, and can't be bought after the incident. Unless you have a non-Apple insurance policy which says otherwise, you'd need to pay the full price for a replacement.

NO. First of all, you cannot add an AppleCare plan to a stolen device. Second of all, even if you had purchased an AppleCare plan on your MacBook Pro before it was stolen AppleCare+ plans do NOT cover theft or loss.

If you have homeowners or renters insurance, see if they offer any help. But the bottom line is you'll be buying a new computer.
