Hello AndyG1955,

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Communities.

Do you notice if this remains after a restart? If you haven't tried that yet, check out the steps below for assistance. You can also locate these steps here: Restart your Apple Watch - Apple Support

How to restart your Apple Watch

1. Press and hold the side button until you see the Power Off slider.

2. Drag the Power Off slider.

3. After your watch turns off, press and hold the side button again until you see the Apple logo.

If your Apple Watch is charging, take it off the charger first. When your watch is charging, you can't restart it.

If this remains after a restart, see if adjusting the color of the watch face clears this up. Apple Watch faces can include different color variations, so check out the steps below to see if this is the case. You can locate additional information here: Customize the watch face - Apple Support

Choose a different watch face

• Swipe edge to edge across the watch face to see other faces in your collection.

• To see all available watch faces, touch and hold the watch face, swipe to the one you want, then tap it.

When you touch and hold the watch face, you see the current watch face with Share and Edit buttons at the bottom. The name of the watch face is at the top. Swipe left or right to see other watch face options. Tap a complication to add the features you want.

If you're still experiencing this, let us know if it only appears on the watch face, or within all apps. In addition, confirm the watchOS version that's currently installed.

Have a great day!
