Can I use an Apple Gift Card to pay part of a MacBook Air?

Hello,

I would like to know if i can use the 210 CAD gift card directly on my basket when i buy the macbook air m2 chip and pay only the difference of the apple care which will cost 215 CAD before tax.

If not, can i buy the macbook air m2 chip and then when i receive the gift card, i'll be able to purchase the apple care for the same price (215 CAD for 3 years)?
