Can't install Samsung T5 software on to my MacBook Air

I can't install the Samsung Portable SSD software for the T5. During the installation process, it stops and I get the error message "A newer version of the software is currently installed. If you wish to continue, delete the currently installed version and try again." I click on OK and seconds later it says "The Installation was successful. Please restart your Mac." I re-start the Mac and end up going thru the same process again, no closer to a successful installation. Yes, I was using a T5 for back up a couple months ago. And yes, I believe I deleted any software related to the T5. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
