Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is not on my laptop whatsoever

I've been having issues connecting my iphone to my windows laptop for while, im now discovering that I my apple device is using some other driver in what im pretty is some sort of glitch.

What I've tried:

  • Troubleshooted everything below on two laptops
  • Reinstalled iTunes multiple times
  • Made sure my windows is completely up to date
  • Tried multiple apple iphone cords
  • Checking portable devices and updating the driver but the driver it is using is the MTP USB driver which I know is not the right driver
  • Tried to choose/find the correct driver by browsing my computer for it and searching the %ProgramFiles%\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers where the driver is supposed to be located
  • Gone to device manager and under Universal Serial Bus controllers, the driver is not under there
  • Completely removed and then reconnected the device

I've basically come to the conclusion that for whatever reason the driver is simply not on my driver or not downloading with iTunes but what i find really strange is that I've had this issue on two computers, one of which is completely new. I'm not really sure where to go from here considering I'm fairly certain I cannot manually download the driver. I'd be very grateful if anyone has suggestions :|

As for seeing an MTP USB driver this can happen when the iOS drivers aren't set up correctly. See iOS device not showing in iTunes for Windows - Apple Community for advice on fixing this.
