iTunes not seeing my iPhone when using USB-C cable
Hi, I'm trying to get my iPhone to be seen in iTunes on my Windows 10 computer while using a USB-C cable. It's the USB-C cable that came with my iPad and I've swapped the cables to make sure layer 1 stuffs is good. I've updated my USB drivers on my computer and I see the iPhone as connected and not having any errors. My iPhone is charging via the USB-C cable, but it's as though windows doesn't recognize the device. It doesn't show up as a secondary storage device and doesn't show up in iTune. No errors or anything popping up in iTunes and the device and iPhone have whatever the "trust" relationship/cert is so that wouldn't be blocking the iPhone. To make matters odder, when I use the old standard USB cable everything comes up without errors and I can see the iPhone in iTunes. I'm running iOS 16 on my iPhone and iTunes is up to date on ver 12.12.5.8. When I use the USB-C port for an external hard drive it reads the device fine, so I don't think there's an interface issue on my computer. I think it could be software or driver related as this is the first time I've tried connecting via a USB-C cable. It's just odd that I don't see any errors and the iPhone populates in device manager. I've uninstalled the driver and then let it auto-install via detection and when I try to update it says I have the latest driver. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Any suggestions?
I'm running Windows 10 home edition, using an iPhone 12 Max Pro running iOS 16, and iTunes version 12.12.5.8
