Frozen cursor using new trackpad on new iMac
I have followed instructions and rebooted in safe mode. Cursor is still frozen. Any suggestions Apple?

Howdy, Okiespindoc.. i’m just a mac user here same as you… see if you can take out the batteries ( if it uses user replaceable batteries) or power it down…then assuming your keyboard is still functional, restart your imac and get back into safe mode by holding down the “shift” key on your keyboard on startup until you see the words “ safe mode” on screen.. then put the batteries back in and turn it on… or just turn it on… assuming non-user replaceable batteries.. and if it came with a usb cable, plug that into your trackpad and then directly into your iMac… yeah… bluetooth can sometimes be a bear for troubleshooting/ emergency situations as it doesn’t always connect or work reliably right off the bat… like when you reallly need it to… you might want to get/acquire a usb-c wired mouse and keyboard for emergency situations ( eg as a backup in case your wireless stuff doesn’t work right away.. or doesn’t work reliably.., you can also use a regular usb-a wired mouse and keyboard with a usb-c to a adapter ( which is cheap) … as for your emergency/backup keyboard + mouse, pretty much any one/kind will work, as long as it’s wired and either usb-c or usb-a ( plus adapter)

You are not addressing Apple on these forums. We are all end users just like you. Please call AppleCare.
Ok. Thank you for the advice on getting a corded mouse as a work around.
also, I did not realize Apple doesn’t staff these forums. Thank you.
