Repeated Apple ID locked for security reasons

This happens to me 5-7 times a day, every other day! It is annoying. I switched back to iPhone from my Samsung recently and this annoying inconvenience is making me regret it. I am on an iPhone 13 mini running IOS 15.6. I have changed my password and security question, thinking that would help, but nope. I know this is not a new problem but, I am hoping for a solution. TIA

If your account has been disabled for security reasons

If you see one of the following messages, your Apple ID locked automatically to protect your security and you can't sign in to any Apple services:

  • “This Apple ID has been disabled for security reasons”
  • "You can't sign in because your account has been disabled due to security reasons"
  • "This Apple ID has been locked due to security reasons"

You need to reset your password to regain access. Find out how to reset your password

Apple doesn’t routinely monitor the discussions. These are mostly user to user discussions.


If you want to, you can send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem or a suggestion for change. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem/suggested change solved sooner. Pick the closest topic you can find.
