Mac Mini on its side (slow wifi)

2020 M1 Mac Mini.

I was trying to trouble shoot slow wifi speed ... M1 MM was getting about half the throughput of the MBP I had right beside it. I read on the forum here that one of the suggestions was to put the MM on its side, since the Wifi antenna is in the bottom, and aim the bottom towards the Wifi AP.

Crazy, right? NOPE. Huge improvement.

I did three back-to-back test with the MM in its normal orientation, then on its side, then normal, then on its side.... (results)

So my question is: Is there a downside to running the Mini on its side long term?

Mostly used for light tasks, but occasionally used for significant 4k/6k video editing sessions.
