I was gifted a Gen 3 Apple Watch. It’s been deleted from the original owner’s account, updated to show it is now mine, uninstalled/ reinstalled (at ATT store) with new Sim. Original owner had wiped it clean, etc. But when I sign into my Apple account it STILL shows the phone number for the original owner & there is no “edit” button?! Can anyone help? TY!

The person that you bought/got this watch from needs to follow all the steps on this page;
Remove the Activation Lock so that the buyer can use it.
If they can't or won't then get your money back or recycle the watch and mark it down as a bad experience.

I know that she deactivated & removed the watch from her account & then erased all data / wiped it. But her phone number is still there. Annoying, but everything else seems fine & it shows up under my devices. … just with the wrong phone number!
