font changes when I copy/paste in notes on iphone
After downloading ios 15.6 on my iPhone, the font now changes when I copy/paste in the Notes app. How can I change the font back without having to retype the entire text?
iPhone 12 mini, iOS 15

You see these options when you're modifying text that's saved on your iCloud.
If the note was created e.g. as part of your Gmail account - this is when the font substitution happens.
I have a few notes on my Gmail account and when I do a cut and paste on a particular note I the pasted note changes from the typical arial looking font to a times new roman looking font.
These font changes also happen when you delete spaces on existing text, which is very annoying since you've got a note that has multiple fonts and sizes...

Hi Bubba,
Thanks for your answer, but these formatting options are not available on my iPhone in the Notes app. The only thing displayed above the keyboard is the spelling/autocorrect ribbon.
The standard font in Notes is similar to Arial and the replacement font (when copy/pasted) is similar to a very light Times New Roman. I'm guessing that this is a bug in ios 15.6 because it has never done this before.
Thanks for the reply, arvin1x. Since I do not use iCloud, this may explain why I do not see the ribbon.
Yes, it is very annoying to have the random font changes in a note. I think this was a bug that was introduced when I downloaded 15.6. Hopefully, it is corrected soon.
What does the font look like? You can change it by selecting the text, then pressing the 'Aa' icon above the keyboard, as shown-
You can then change the formatting by selecting a different option-
That's certainly odd. The formatting bar should be there regardless.
Perhaps try deleting and reinstalling the Notes app? You'll have to back them up, of course.
I will have to look into Settings to see if there is a way to change the formatting bar in Notes. Thank you!
You're welcome- good luck.
