Why can’t the new iPhone Filter spam and unknown numbers as well as the Pixel?

I have it checked in settings to “block unknown numbers” and yet they still keep coming through. I’m a recent convert from the Google Pixel and I was really hoping to like the new iPhone but now I wonder if I’ve just been duped by great marketing. Robocalls get through despite the settings, And what’s worse is there’s not even an option to report spam like there is on the pixel so that the number can go into a database and help users help each other. I know the technology exists, so why hasn’t apple adopted it? Call filtering in spam filtering doesn’t really seem to work very well at all on the new iPhone. Are there any tips to improving this?

I have that setting checked. I’m not wrong about this, I swear on it. And yet even today 3 calls that are most certainly are not in my contacts called me up despite. Same area code but that’s it. I’ve a new iPhone. And I even get texts from spam cam-girl types for a dude named Isaac. P.S. I’m not a dude named Isaac. Had this number since high school. 🤷🏻‍♀️
