does macbook pro support 4k streaming (netflix and hbo max)?

Netflix claims that with the latest Apple silicon it's capable of Ultra HD.

With HBO Max it's a little bit more complicated because they operate with so many different services (like through Comcast or other service providers). But they don't say much about streaming resolution other than for specific TVs and streaming devices.
