Do not disturb on one device not all

How do i turn on the focus/do not disturb setting on my iphone without it auto syncing to my ipad and making my ipad also do not disturb?

Go to Settings>Focus and turn off Share Across Devices.

Do not disturb I am getting the Do Not Disturb on at all different times. It seems to be in sync with time and dates of events I have scheduled, for example, doctor visit or family outings etc.. I am aware that Focus is on my iPhone 13 but have never used it (not that I know of)I really don’t have a clue what it’s for so I didn’t go into it afraid I’d make something else happen. How can I turn off Do Not Disturb on my iPad? My iPad displays a do not disturb icon. And when I check the focus i settings, there is no way to turn do not disturb off. I appreciate any help.
