Letter not working on my keyboard
Hi everyone,
Since the last Mac Moterey 12.5 one of the letter on my keyboard ("n") stopped working.
Any ideas how to do to fix it or should I wait for a other update?
Thank you in advance!

Did you try Safe Mode as already suggested? What was the result? Did the key work in Safe Moder or not?
It's extremely unlikely that a key would fail due to a software update.
Try an external keyboard - does the "n" key work?
Try the Keyboard Viewer: does clicking the "n" key in the Keyboard Viewer produce the letter n?
If the two tests above produce positive results, as I expect they will, then it almost certain it is a physical keyboard issue. Maybe some debris got under the key, or something.
One other simple test you can do is logging in to a new user account, or the guest account, and seeing if the "n" key works there.
If it does work, then that would point to some software issue, specifically on your normal account, and again not with the OS itself, but some third party software.
Hi,
I just tried the Safe mode and I also logged in with another user and it is still not working and neither is the keyboard viewer - when I push the "n" on it it doesn't light up.
If I connect an external keyboard then it is working with the external.
I also ran a diagnosis and it says there are no issues.
A few months ago with another update, I had the same "n" issue and somehow it got solved afterward but this time I might need to request a service repair. :(
Thank you very much for your answer and time! I really appreciate it. :)
In my original reply, I suggested checking your AppleCare coverage in the event that you might need a service visit.
I hope you have coverage and good luck with your Genius Bar visit. 😉
Thank you very much for your answer!
I will follow the steps you mentioned. 💪
You’re welcome! 😉
Unfortunately I don't have coverage!
Thank you very much for your help. 🙏
