Messenger Kids Won’t Authorize

I set up Messenger Kids for my daughter. I can set up the app on my iPhone, but not on her IPad. When I click authorize device it gets stuck. Her iPad is set up using my Apple ID. Could that be the issue? Is there a workaround?

That is not an Apple product or service.

Contact the app developer.


As for her using your Apple ID, that’s a bad idea. She will have access to all of your messages, etc.

Use Family Sharing to create an ID for her if she’s under 13.
