Synchronizing email

If both your computer and iPad are configured to access the same email account - and your email provider uses an IMAP mailbox - then both your devices will synchronise their email via your email provider’s mail server.

You will need to check with your email provider for the correct settings for IMAP. If your computer is configured to use POP3, additional work will be required to refine settings.

When adding an email account to your iPad, the configuration procedure will usually automatically configure the iPad to use IMAP if supported by the provider.
