Why is my charger getting hot when I am charging my phone
Mine looks nothing like either of this. I bought my iPhone in China and the charger is diff. But I have been using it for months it for months in the US and no problem until now. Looks like I might need to buy a new charger
I am not sure what wattage
You can find it on the plug side of the charger, as seen below (it'll look slightly different for you)- but like I said, it's probably all right!
This is the 20W-
And this is the 5W-
My apologies, wrong pictures. They would look similar to this for China-
20W Charger-
5W Charger-
At any rate, heat is normal when charging.

If your phone is still cool but the charger is hot, you're fine. Even if your iPhone heats up a bit while charging, it's still fine.
What kind of charger are you using?
Thanks Bubba. I am using a two pin original charger bought from overseas Asia.
Sorry- I meant the wattage ;)
The stronger 18W or 20W chargers can easily get quite hot when fast charging the iPhone. I wouldn't worry about it!
