downloading iCloud photos back to iPhone

I selected some photos from my computer, emailed myself an iCloud link, and opened the link through my iPhone. It opens a shared folder, but the photos do not have the download option. There is no photo information about them, and I have to screenshot them to have the photo actually on my device. How can I download them to my device?
