GMT Watchface Daylight/Darkness colours don’t always show correctly

I enjoy playing around with the GMT watchface to see the amount of daylight shows at different lines of latitude. I’ve checked a place called Longyearbyen that currently has 24 hours of daylight at the moment. It has around four months of all daylight, four months of all darkness and four months varying between lightness and darkness. You’ll notice my watch show red for daylight. I’ve checked another place inside the Arctic circle like Longyearbyen but not as far north - Inuvik. Today, the daylight time is around 18 hours however, the red ring on the GMT watchface shows only 6 hours of daylight. This is wrong. Is there something I can change in the timezone and location configuration or is Apple’s data wrong.
