44 prefix

I’ve had problems with iPhone 7 changing to 44- prefix which I solved by changing language to English US then back to English UK but now all blocked numbers have 44- prefix that cannot be reversed using this method meaning I would have to delete all blocked contacts and reinstall manually. Any ideas how I can fix this issue.

Hey there, Conniemara,

Thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities.

If you have not already, we would suggest going through the following steps to try resolving the issue with the number prefix. They will help us isolate the issue further and get the issue resolved:

  1. Restart your iPhone: Restart your iPhone - Apple Support
  2. Make sure your iOS software is up-to-date: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
  3. Update your carrier settings: Manually update your carrier settings on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

If you still have the prefix on the numbers, we would recommend getting in touch with Apple Support directly. They'll have additional tools and resources to further investigate what's going on: Get Support

Have a wonderful weekend!
